FLAME SENSOR
General Description:
A flame sensor is a type of detector that is intended to recognize and respond to flames or fire. It is frequently utilized in flame alarms due to its extreme sensitivity to normal light. The sensor works well for detecting flames since it can pick up light at wavelengths between 760 and 1100 nm. But because it is readily harmed by high heat, it is usually placed some distance away from the flame. Flame sensors feature a 60-degree detection angle and can detect fires up to 100 cm away. They can deliver digital or analog signals. Flame alarms and robots that fight fires commonly employ these sensors.
Working Principle:
A flame detector is a sensor designed to detect and respond to the presence of a flame. These detectors can identify flames and smoke that may indicate an open fire. The sensors in the flame detector detect the radiation emitted by the flame. The photoelectric sensor converts the radiant intensity signal of the flame into a voltage signal, which is then processed by a single-chip microcomputer. The microcomputer converts this signal into a desired output.
Specifications:
- Photosensitivity is high
- Response time is fast
- Simple to use
- Sensitivity is adjustable
- Detection angle is 60°
- Responsive to the flame range
- Accuracy can be adjustable
- The operating voltage of this sensor is 3.3V to 5V
- Analog voltage o/p's and digital switch o/p's
- Power indicator & digital switch o/p indicator
- If the flame intensity is lighter within 0.8m then the flame test can be activated, if the flame intensity is high, then the detection of distance will be improved
